MONITORING SCOPE — IMPORTANT NOTICE
What Sentinel Monitors
Sentinel monitors Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts for four specific on-chain event types:
- Transfer events
- OwnershipTransferred events
- Paused events
- Unpaused events
Detection is performed via the eth_getLogs RPC method against your configured RPC endpoint.
What Sentinel Does NOT Monitor
Sentinel does not detect, monitor, or alert on:
- Reentrancy vulnerabilities
- Oracle failures or manipulation
- Flash loan attacks
- Rug pulls or honeypot contracts
- Governance attacks
- Any anomalous or unexpected contract behavior outside the four monitored event types
- Token price fluctuations
- NFT metadata changes
- Cross-chain bridge activity
- Smart contract logic bugs or exploits
MONITORING IS NOT SECURITY
Sentinel is an event monitoring tool. Monitoring an event does not mean Sentinel prevents, stops, or mitigates any harmful activity. Receiving an alert does not mean your funds are safe or that an exploit has occurred.
Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Selecting contracts to monitor
- Interpreting alert data
- Taking action in response to any alert
- Conducting your own due diligence on the contracts you monitor
- Ensuring your RPC provider is reliable and sufficiently decentralized
- Understanding the smart contract code you are monitoring
